Imperial Hotel Temple Street

Gone but not forgotten
Edit, Section of post on the Clarendon Hotel copied to here about the Imperal Hotel.

Re Temple Row, anyone got a photo of the old Imperial Hotel where I spent many a happy hour at the Music and Sports quizzes there in the 80s. One of the first League quiz venues in the City I think.

The Hotel seems to have had a couple of other minor name changes including the Imperial Centre Hotel and The New Imperial Hotel, doubtless to distinguish, modernise and reflect changes through time. 'Centre' must have been added when the hotel became part of the Centre Hotel Group, in about the 1970s.

Here's Eric and Ernie publicising the opening of the hotel's Kenco Centre and Restaurant in 1967. By the 1960s it was part of the Trust House Group. Viv.
