hi folks trying to find out where william froggatt and grandson thomas froggatt are buried..or any froggatts to be honest...thought maybe key hill or warstone lane...any help would be great..

william froggatt died 19th july 1874

thomas froggatt died dec 1951 so could be buried jan 1952..eva emma wife of thomas died in nov 1951 so could be together...

Before 1840 there are a lot of Froggatt burials at St Mary's Whittall St. These are mainly infants,but there are one or two adults. Also a couple of burials at St Philips.
After 1880 they seem to be at Key Hill or Warstone Lane.

lynn just to let you know that elias froggatt is mine..hes buried in a family grave with 5 others..thanks ever so much i will now be popping to key hill very soon..

looks like ive got my work cut out folks..i can now confirm 5 froggatt graves at KH and WL..still plenty more on the list to check out..
 
many thanks bri for taking these pics for me.. in the mary taff family grave although not enscribed is elias froggatt died 1880..little may elizabeth froggatt is in vault G13 died 1883 aged 3..

i still have william..henry and sarah froggatt to locate in warstone lane seems they are in unmarked graves...

The records for Warstone Lane I have are incomplete which may explain why I couldn't locate them.
 
Astoness/Brian - are the three pictures above in KH or WL?

Do you have the grave numbers for the three you are missing in WL?

hi les the pics are in key hill..i am afraid im not very good at this as its a new field to me..brian has given me some grave numbers which are think are the three froggatts in warstone lane but i dont know what grave belongs to who..but here are the names and reg numbers just in case i have it wrong..

sarah froggatt died.1883 reg no 31807

henry froggatt died.1891 reg no 43912

william froggatt died 1894 reg no 48696

what i need is the grave numbers for the above buriels if poss and armed with the help of the map brian has kindly sent me i maybe able to locate the spots although bri thinks that these will be unmarked...

If you put a definitive list of the names (from the above list) that are yours on here, I'll mark them up on the section maps in advance!
 
thanks bri as i thought the twins are buried together. think.there are one or 2 on that list that i dont have on mine so will check them out..

les so far with the help of lynne webb who is slowly working through a long list i can confirm 14 ancestors now..7 are in the family grave and there is may elizabeth in G13 vault...i know where they are and brian has taken those pics of those 2 for me..so that leaves 6 to track down on friday..will let you have the grave numbers and names of those 6 asap...good idea to mark them on the map in advance..im sure as time goes on i will confirm more as froggatt is not really a common name..ps will bring a packed lunch and a flask of tea..lol..

Is it OK if I butt in?! My husband's Aunt Beatrice Pressdee is in J10 above the catacombs but I can't see a Froggatt listed on my photos or leslam's. At least you know where one grave is for certain!
I'm so glad you've found your relatives lyn, I've found a few more recently, but haven't "visited" yet! One is in P1920 also, Alice Roath.

hi rosie..i have yet to confirm some of the froggatts as mine and alfred who is in J 10 has not been identified as mine yet although i would imagine he is...the reason you cant see his name is most likely that the family could not afford to have it inscribed...unfortunately this seems the case with burials...i am really looking forward to my visit to KH and WL and of course i will be taking my camera...

Lyn these are from Key Hill, John Neville Harrington is in T8 there is also a female infant Harrington died 1945 in T9.
 
lol wend cant see anything wrong with a picnic at WL /KH... to be honest i didnt think i would find any harringtons which are direct to me me being one lol..thanks for the T8 grave i take it its another public next to T9..

i have a female infant in T9 which if you recall is my dads aunties baby who died in march 1945.thats the one where i had to apply for coronors report etc... but i see on the list i have here that there is another female infant harrington who died in june 1945..dont know who this one is yet...
