Going by your recent posting, you're correct in saying that the vehicle on the left in the photo you're referring to isn't a Birmingham bus. It was in fact an ex Walsall Corporation Daimler Fleetline with a Northern Counties body. As for the Birmingham Guys, Walsall garage did have an allocation of them when that garage was passed over to West Midlands PTE but, the vehicles were the early Guys of the 2526 - 2625 series I seem to recall.
 
A nice view of brand new EOG 122 on a tilt test before delivery in 1938. Did that picture come from a book? The location looks a bit like Metro-Cammell's Saltley works to me, the bodywork is certainly theirs.
