Does anyone have any Yardleys ?

Edward Yardley married Ann Knowles in 1818 St Martins
children Elizabeth Ann Edward Sarah Mathew George Emma

Bishops Street Fox Street Bucks Court ? Price Street and Hospital Street

1841 - 1885

Edward Yardley was one of my great great grandfathers. His son, Edward, married, secondly, Catherine Scott (my great grandmother), in 1869. His first marriage was to Mary Owen, in 1852. I have been unable to find Mary's death (between 1861 and 1869).

Catherine Scott is a mystery. She was born in Birmingham around 1837 and her father was Humphrey Scott, but there is only Humphrey Scott in the Birmingham area, and he did not appear to have a daughter, Catherine. She does not appear in the 1841, 1851 or 1861 censuses.

Hi, have just come across this thread. My great grandparents wedding in 1880 shows the witnesses to be George and Amelia Harriet Yardley. Great grandfather had a sister called Amelia ,but without a second christian name according to the 1861 census. Margaret.

Mah,George and Amelia may be husband and wife

George John Yardley married Amelia Harriet Cleaver in Warwick 1877.

Thank you Alberta.Thought as much,Mygreat grandfather was Harry Edward Cleaver so Amelia was his sister .Will now be able to look into the Yardley branch of the Cleaver family! Margaret.
