A photo that includes two(?) of my Uncles (Riches) along with their fellow pupils. I will add names when I get around to typing the list out. Taken early part of 2oth C - not sure of year but my Dad was born 1906 and his brothers were younger.

Note: I have possibly made a few errors in transcribing. Also it should be known that the names were put to the photograph by Daisy Dark when she was C. 93. It is only my guess but I assume she was the Daisy Copham in the photograph.

It's surprising that there haven't been more comments on the old school. I was there between 1951-54 (when we moved away) and I have fond memories of the place. Our headteacher was a Miss Messer, and they were all female members of staff. My favourite was Miss Sheffield and I recall there was a Mrs Brookes and a Miss Baker (whom I didn't hit it off with and spent much time trying to impress!) At this distance I'm struggling to remember the names of fellow pupils; I do recall a Richard Williams, a Duncan Hamilton, a Barry Gumry and a Rodney Nelson. The girls included Marian Law, Linda Harvey and Judith?. One of my neighbours was in the year below; his name was Johnnie Hinder and his dad was the local Baptist minister. Does this ring any bells with anyone?
Our family lived in School Road between the canal bridge (and the social club) and Goodrest Croft, and I recall there were two lads living in the same road, Roy Holloway and Derek ?
