The 'then' pictures are taken from old postcards, the 'now' pictures taken from Google Streetview.
The older of the pictures is thought to date from the 1920's - 30's.

Looks like relatively new housing on Yardley Road, Little Bromwich. There's something going on behind the postman with a horse and cart across the road - fixing the road/pavement ?

One of the two men on the left is pointing to something on the road.

I have always thought tht the houses on the right were very interesting as I have never seen anything similar anywhere else in Brum.

Another of Yardley Road, the cemetery is to the right. Sad to see all the privit edged front gardens turned over to off- road parking, but needs must I suppose.

And this section of Yardley Road at Acocks Green, not significantly changed in terms of buildings.

Yardley Rd Little Brom is far from Yardley Rd Acocks Green and South Yardley. The former became Yardley Green Rd.

The first shows the junction with Florence Road



And this shows some of the shops to the left of the view above in 1965 compared to the present day. In the distance, to the right, is Francis Road
