Yardley Church R.F.C. 1967-68

Brummophile
Is there anyone out there that recognises himself, or his/her brother, boyfriend, cousin, father, uncle, etc. in this poor quality enlargement of an 80x80mm Polaroid shot of the Yardley Church R.F.C. 1st Fifteen 1967-68 . It was taken over 40 years ago at the Oaklands Playing Fields near what was The Swan in Yardley. The pavilion/changing rooms was vandalised and destroyed by fire a number of years ago. On the back of the snapshot – in a schoolboy-like scroll – I have written eighteen names and/or surnames but there are four question marks. This is a long, long shot but if someone on the Forum could help me substitute the doubts with definite names, I would be forever thankful. db84124

Good morning, Len,
Extremely interesting site. Thank you very much. The photograph shows the team in 1954, way, way before my time with them. I fail to recognise a single name or face.
But further down the page on the list of Past Captains there are nine contemporaries of mine. J. Smart must be Mr John Smart who – at the time – had a window-cleaning round in the Bordesley Green area.
P. Skipp is Mr Peter Skipp, who I remember served in the RAF shortly prior to that time. T. Draycott is Mr Terry Draycott who used to live in Colonial Road, Botha Road or Pretoria Road, Bordesley Green but moved away from the area donkey’s years ago. D. Price is Mr Dennis Price, who, I am told, continued to play for many years in his well-established position of full-back.
So thank you, Len, for helping to bring back fond memories. David
