(This is my first ever post so trust it reaches the right area?)

I am carrying out some research into soldiers who died in the Malayan Emergency 1948-1960. I can tell from the Imperial War Museum's List of Uk War Memorials that a soldier is listed on the Witton Road Jewish Cemetery's War Memorial for 'Malaya 1949'. No name is given.

Does anyone out there know the name please.

Thank you

There is a part of Witton Cemetery that is just a Jewish Cemetery. It is on Warren Road Kingstanding, just across from the main cemetery on The Ridgeway Erdington. It is called Witton Jewish cemetery. Hope this helps
regards
Amanda

mdh,
The official name and postal address is:
Birmingham Hebrew Congregation Cemetery
Jewish Cemetery, Ridgeway, Erdington, Birmingham B23 7TD
I haven't found any any email or website details, but their phone number is
0121-382 9900
I imagine they would be willing to give you an answer if you asked.
Incidentally I grew up just round the corner from there and went to Hawthorn Road Junior Boys' with the son of the keeper of the cemetery during WW2. Small world, really!
Good luck.
Peter
