hi dale on another thread you posted the below....i cant seem to find winifred ethel harrison on the 39 register in birmingham...i take it they were in birmingham ?

Winifred Ethel Harrison.
Born 2nd of February 1915. She's down on the 1939 census as unemployed and living with my Nana who was a baby at the time.

She's at 11 Wilton St with her (illegitimate) daughter.
hi mark dont know what i am doing wrong then as ive put in winifred ethel harrson b 1915 living in birmingham and i still cant find her...

Is that on Ancestry? She comes up on findmypast.

I can get results searching for her daughter on Ancestry, Iris Harrison b1939.

ok so i have now got winifred and iris on the 39..think we need to wait until dale can tell us if he has obtained the birth cert for iris to see what it says..but as you have already said on the wilton st thread without a fathers name on it its looking as though he could remain a mystery..always possible that the father of iris was living with them in wilton st and could have elsewhere due to war work but again without a name it is difficult..i wonder if winifred married

I don't think she did, I think her death was registered Derby first decade 2000s, Iris's also.

Possibly father went off to war and didn't make it back. It does seem a case where only family info/rumours would help but if there were any I suppose dale would have found them.

The entry on Ancestry says Herrison, mistranscribed.
On his tree Dale says she was married to William Walter Harrison but she was single in 1939 and I can find no marriage for her after 1939 but then no death for her with birth 2nd Feb 1915.

Slightly out with my first decade of 2000s.

Possible death (GRO) Dec qtr 2017 Derby, aged 102!

Iris's death Dec qtr 2008 Derby.
