Hi mike
There was a shop on the corner and that was number 55 Webster street and that had been owned by Mrs Sarah brotherhood
Whom also had the adjoining premises at 53 Webster street where she used to take I artistes from the Aston hippodrome
Giving them bed and break fast in 1945 it was brought by the mother of molly Williams nee Hinton and her partner
Many thanks mikejee

Shifnal, we still keep in touch after all these years Molly lives in Porchester, and if anyone would like to get in touch with her, e-mail me and l'll give her address, Molly does not have a computer......Brenda

hi bren ;
I have not heard or seen of you on the site for ages but it was nice to see your name back on site
i have been back and looked at your old thread on molly williams ne hnton and i have a strong feeling that there is a old long connection to my grand mother
and her family of the hintons my grand mother was also berta by name before marrige and they to was connected to the thearter land
as stage dancers and her relie aunts was also connected to the thearters and they lived by the aston hipo; aqnd had lodgers
and the one of them had the school of dancing in aston in around the nechells park td in the late 1800s -1900s there is an old thread about this school of there dancing gong back about six years ago on here by some one else and i did also put it on as well but the site was hacked so alot of it as gone
i put molly williams on the other day because i assaterained a book of old history with mollys williams name nee hinton and it said it was her mother whom sold the shop
down on the corner of webster street this molly bit is all new to me but also orinionaly years ago i was informed by some one on the forum that this berta ran the coal yard in aston was a relative to mine bertha hinton maidein name to mine is my grand mother came from aston along with my grand father and mother from around those streets
also that illesley coal merchants was connect to my mothers tree he lady married an isllesley so i do beleive i may just be conect way down the line by my parentage
and grand parents life tree i will get this bok out again over the week end and pusue the story line and probe further back on molly williams and incidently
when i was young and foolish married into a williams family whom came from all around the aston area as i am also born and bren in aston
some of these old williams are from park rd and wainwright street and all so up summer lane end best wishes astonian;;

Astonian, yes i'm still around and kicking..thank you for your very imformative history of the Hintons, sorry l do not have very much information on the Hintons....l do know when Molly's mother bought the shop on the corner of Webster st and Talford street they moved from Droitwich l think around late 40's early 50's...l knew very little about the family only that the family had split up..why and what for l don'nt know..l never asked questions, l think it was around 1953-4 that the shop was sold and Mrs Hinton moved to Shifnal, while Molly moved in with her sister at Acocks Green.....lMollies wedding anniversary and b'day is coming up so l'll drop her a line and see how much she knows.....Brenda

HI BRENDA
Many thanks for that and nice to know you are still around thank god i will await when ever you get any information from her
as i am very highly excited that i found or know of some one whom may be able to help me as i never knew any other hintons to my grand mother
when i was young but only as a kid we used to see all these grown up people from as far or close but never knew they was i have been yearning for years for some one
whom may know some think regarding the hintons as i said they are from aston and potters hill clse to the hippo and later in years they set up new caqnnal street bed and breakfast boarding i am hoping you may get some kind of inclining from your molly thanks brenda best wishes alan astonian;;
