Can any one help with the name and address of a Hardware shop in the Sparkhill area, proprieter was William John Yerbury? It was around in the census of 1911.
Now that is something I didn't know, I always thought that shop had been in my old mate Arthur Stockfords family. Shows how little you can know about your own area. Any idea when it changed hands?

All i could give was what was in Kellys. Sometimes they list the actual name of the shop, and sometimes the owner. It might have been called Yerbury's. but there is no way of knowing without finding a photograph. If I had to guess i would think that the most likely name was Yerburys.
