Where is This 86

Phil

Gone, but not forgotten.
I am so good to you that I am giving three bites at the cherry. All I need to know is where is this junction. 3 photo's and not 15 years between them.

I've always said that the people on this forum are too smart. Yes it is what is now known as the Swan junction Yardley. Otherwise the Coventry Rd - Church Rd - Yardley Rd Junction. Well done lencops you were first across the line.

pmc 1947, I grew up with that junction i was born in 1929 in Charles Edward Rd just down from that junction which was turned into a traffic island before i was born, i remember the Trams & Trolley Bus`s, the big shop on the L/hand corner of Coventry Rd,
it is in the top & middle photos you posted corner was Robinsons the chemist & post office they survived until the 1966`s when the major reconstruction began. Len.

I understand that it is all about to change again. I think there are big plans afoot to rebuild all the Swan Centre and incorporate in a great big new superstore.

Thats if this credit crunch hasn't put a stop to it.
