Where is this ? 55

Sorry Ann, John got it in one but ought have been disqualifyed from posting cos I knew it was on his old stamping ground! It was indeed Prince of Wales Lane, Warstock with the old TASCOS co-op shop on the left with it's fancy frontage.

More than my old stamping ground, when I was at school my uncle who lived in Gorleston Grove rented a garage at the back of the CO-OP to put his Morris 10/4 in AXA949, and he worked for CO-OP furniture driving a Guy furniture van on long distance, if I was off school I went with him all over the country, had my first driving experiance in that Guy,when I was 13. John.

More good stuff John, I was going to put this on as another "Where is this?" but it wouldn't be fair on the rest! For anyone looking in I'll leave you to tell us "where is this?"
Mike

Sorry I am late replying to this, I was at Longleat Safari Park all day yesterday,I am sure this is the corner of Gorleston Rd. and Prince of Wales Lane, You can see Gorleston Grove just off to the right up the road, and I rented the wooden garage you can see in the garden of the house on the corner for a while. John.

John,
I bow to your superior knowledge. Had a drive up there earlier and you are right. Apologies to Phil as the card only quotes Warstock and I was sure the view was further up Gorleston Road at the next junction. Think I'll leave these Where is its? alone now Phil is back!
Mike

Mike,

I was only enquiring out of interest, as I had a mate that lived in Gorleston Rd some years back.

One thing I have learned over the years collecting photographs is never to trust the information printed on them or with them as it can very often be wrong even though it may come from the very best of sources as I have found out to my embarrassment on a couple of occasions.

Phil
