Phil

Gone, but not forgotten.
Slightly harder than normal, because you people are too clever. Where is this postbox located.

It looks a lot like the one they had at the 'Black Country Museum' when I was there in 1986... Don't suppose it is though!

No sorry, as wonderful a day out as the Black Country Museum is, its not the right answer. The story I have is, that this post box was still in situ until quite recently.

judy,

No sorry, not Brindley Place.

postie,

No sorry, not the Council House.

tardebigge,

No sorry, not the old post office.

Kandor,

You are correct in your assumption that it is "the site of a Post Box", but as I gave this information in the question its not much of a conclusion is it? I bet your school reports were full of "must pay more attention" and "must try harder".

No wait a moment, thats what mine said. Perhaps its me thats confused.

I can see that I am going to have to start giving out a few clues, as I don't want this left hanging about when I go on holiday.

Well the location of this box has connections with Birmingham History.

Phil

Was it down at Curzon Street Station?

Fat Mark

Yes Fat Mark

It was down at Curzon St Station. The information I have is that it was only recently removed.

Here is a picture of the approximate site now.

Phil. I must go around with my eyes shut as I cannot even guess as to where they are.
Give me another easy one like the one Rupert Street that you gave me.

Pom,

Had it not been for Fat Marks answer, I might have given it to you, on the basis of "near enough".
