Where is This? 25

Phil

Gone, but not forgotten.
This is more in the nature of "what is missing than", "where is this." The location is much too simple to identify.

So what I want to know is, what is just out of camera shot to the extreme left of the photo.

A pub. Is it the crown? It's on the corner of Station St and Hill St, anyway.
The chap is standing by the last undeveloped bomb sites in Birmingham, the site of a car showroom - used to be one of the Lincoln St group, I think.

Yes

The Crown is to the left of the photo (one of my old haunts), but its not what I am after.

The New Block Of Offices For The B,ham City Accountants Whom

Or Was The Time Before This And Do You Mean Where The Car Park Is
And It Was Definately At The Bottom Of Station Street And To Your Right Was The Albany Hotel .

There might have been, but its still not what I'm after. I can't say any more than this location has been discussed and mentioned many times on this forum.

Alex's Pie Stand? Where all the Brum groups met up after their gigs. Ann

Ann B

At least somebody went to the right places. Here's a pic of the Alex's stand at his original site in Hill St, and another of the when he moved over the road to the site that most people remember.

You can see the same A35 Van in the first photo.
