Where are these addresses?

Ewan

master brummie
I have 3 different addresses from 3 censuses, can anyone please show me a map where I hopefully would be able to see those addresses?

Hoping again that the addresses are in the same area, but not knowing this part of the country I am at a loss.

1871 - Moseley Road Bordesley
1881 - Grantham Road Bordesley
1891 - Lyndhurst Oxford Road - Kings Norton district.
Thanks for any help.
Ewan

Hi ewan

Moseley Rd runs from Bradford St Camp Hill to Edgbaston Rd Moseley.

Grantham Rd runs from Farm St to Palmerston Rd, Sparkbrook

Oxford Rd runs from Wake Green Rd Moseley to Yardley Wood Rd Moseley.

Thats if my memory serves me well.

Phil.

Ewan,

I'm not sure if this map might help. Toward the top of the page; you'll find Grantham Road in square 1C and Moseley Road or near the start of it in square 1B. However, Lyndhurst Oxford Road - Kings Norton district is a bit of a problem. There is an Oxford Street about 2 miles from Kings Norton, but it may not be the one you have in mind.

Ewan, If as pmc 1947 says, that Oxford Road runs off the Wake Green Road, you'll find that in square 4B.

mr george whom owns the eaton hotel used to own it fefore selling it off to an asian consortium he has two sons and a daughter the one son is a ships captain
and now the other son and daughter run the eaton hotel for him on the hagley rd
george and anna is wife live up the road the road with the mosely foot ball club is or was there , best wishes astonian

Thank you pmc1947, beamish, Astonian for your valued help with the street names.

I did struggle to see (with my eyesight) Moseley Road and Grantham Road, I could see Oxford Road straight away, also I noticed another road there that I recognised so that was a bonus. Although I couldn't see 2 of the roads I got the gist of where they were located.

This will help hopefully determine whether a person on the 1861 census is the same person living at those addresses above. I may need help later with that.
Thanks again
Ewan
