My cousin Trevor [found by Alberta for me] want us to get together sometime this summer with a few more cousins and second cousins. Will keep this thread in mind Lyn?.

It's great to know that some members will be receiving visits from family this summer and Lyn has Christmas to look forward to when her
daughter Rachel and her husband will be visiting. Di. Poppet also. Because both of my children, born in Canada, came to live in Birmingham at one point in
their lives, in their late teens and early 20's, they quickly learned their way around the city. I had taken them to Brum as young children also. My son worked at the Hyatt Hotel on Broad Street and my daughter at Price, Waterhouse in the Minories and then Cornwall Street. This pleased me no end because of my ongoing ties with Brum. I wanted them to know Birmingham. They both loved living there. When I joined them for a visit with my brother we were able to take them to our favourite places,Aston Hall, Sutton Park, Oxford, Stratford, Worcester, Lichfield, etc. My son, one of Aston Villa's keenest supporters, was able to attend some games and tour the club and grounds and also be there on the day that the old Trinity Road stand was demolished along with myself and my daughter.

My daughter Michelle now lives in Tokyo and she says she would like to take her husband to Birmingham one day for a visit. She will be coming to
Vancouver to visit this summer with her husband and two children. A long stay of six weeks for her and a couple of weeks for her husband.

We all have happy memories of our special trips in and around Birmingham.

It has been lovely to have our youngest son Mark (sitting futhest right) here for the weekend. He was over on buisness from his home in the U.S.leaving his family behind. I so miss his two children our grandchildren so much. We went for a lovely Sunday lunch together with our eldest son his wife and our grandson. Mark is now waiting at Birmingham airport for his flight to Ireland. He flies back to America on Wednesday...what a smashing weekend it has done us both good.
