In the early 1980,s Midland Red Central Works held a Open Day while I was there I took a number of phtos ( should have taken more ) in one of the photos there is a plague? or plate fixed to a wall, it says

Central Works

These constructional and maintance
worshops of the B&MMO Co Ltd
were opened by

The RT WOR Lord Mayor of Birmingham
Alderman J R Balmer
on 25 November 1954

my question is did BaMMOT save this one I do not remember ever seeing it, if BaMMOT did not save it did anyone else? is it on the missing list? as you may know the building that it was fixed to only lasted about 38? years or so

It was sold at the closing down auction, reaching an absurdly high price (several hundred ££). Don't know who bought it though.
