Hi, does anyone remember the corn cob in rubery, many years ago it had an outdoor at the side. where is stood now it is blocks of flats, and the old rose and crown in Rubery village, that is still there ( bit rough in there to say tht least)

Yes i remember the corn cob think it was the best thing they did to pull it down..your right the Crown is still going was took over last year and not such a bad place now compared to some :):)
 
yes but the person that took over (used to be a bouncer on the door) died in the cellar changing a barrel
 
we used the Corn Cob for a while when we came back from banger racing the gaffer there even gave me a triumph acclaim to race ..did a great car jump:rolleyes:
 
you never know we could all know each other,,,, how funny would that be

I use to live in the corncob pub year 1981 the area was not that good. I loved helping in the outdoor...
