Westbourne House

Good morning. I was wondering if anybody happens to know what Westbourne House in Farcroft Avenue, Handsworth was before it was converted to flats?
I had to recently visit here whilst at work, and I was very interested to find some more details on its origin. I have been unable to find anything about the building online.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the Forum,

I have moved your post to the appropriate section, hopefully one of our members will be able to help you.

Is this the place you mean? If so I would expect it to have been built as flats from the looks of the building.

In 1953 described as Block of modern semi-contained flats (6 look up garages)
21 Labour-saving flats.
Same from at least 1942.
