Weoley Castle quarrey

Visit in 1878 by Dudley and Midland Geological Society where the smooth surface of Waterstones were seen from which boulder day had been removed for brickmaking, showing clearly scratching and grooving by glaciers or icebergs.
 
In 1819 Possession and tenancy of Weoley Castle Stone Quarry, Brick Quarry. Produces better building stone that any other in the nearby Counties. Connected conveniently with Worcester and Birmingham Canal.
