Brenda.. my wife and I aint talking at the moment. It's not that we had a row or anything though. I could maybe blame the postman because he brought that package that signalled the end of communication at Tamworth Towers. Brenda is reading Harry Potter the adult version, which I guess has a more graphical way of putting over the violence within the magic. I hope she finshes it soon cus I'm hungry;)

Rod.....I read the book yesterday, took me about 10 minutes or so, tell Brenda...that Harry kills himself by falling on his broomstick, Ron and the girlie wizard run off together and play with each others magical things, the big ugly bloke is turned into a even uglier frog.....and the old headmaster turns out to be John Houghton....who played the part of a 600 year old wizard really convincing :) , Now Tell her to get back in that kitchen and cook yer dinner.....

Robert please do send me food. Make sure it's fruit though I'm really into fruit!!

As for Potter..... I took Bren to see Potter the movie last night. This morning shes just sitting reading again, no concern for my welfare :Aah: and after I treated her too!!

Potter isn't my kind of story, but it's a book full of very good characters and tremendously well written by a talented lady.

Rod if its true what they are saying, mrs B could be in mournig for a weeks I think i should ad some protien to the fruit basket. How does a pound of pork sausage and a packet smoked kippers sound.

P.S Its good to see children queing to buy a book.

And I've just bought Harry Potter and the order of the Phoenix..
Just keep our house quiet for 2 hours.

Two versions

It is good to see that our children are still reading Robert and it's at least a quality book methinks.

Brenda has completed the book, it's really a rather surprising end that I wont give away, besides it's not as simple a story as all that

... I didn’t know there was an adult version of Harry Potter. Some long time ago I did read both ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’, by Tolkien. I thought they were the best fantasy books ever. Now you have Harry Potter – If the children enjoy this one as much as I did the others – They will keep on reading

I bought my copy yesterday, I've hidden it from myself or I'll never get anything done this week......................;)

Rod, hope is all back to normal now that Brenda has finished reading the latest Harry Potter book. What will all the fans do now that this is the last book?
The whole story of J.K. Rowling and her success is unprecedented in the literary world I believe.

I believe JK Rowling is to undertake writing the adventures of Orpheus. It might be an intersting story, if she weaves her magic with it?
