My grandfather WC Hyde ran Hydes of John Bright Street between the wars, selling Jowett cars. Does anyone have info or even a photo of the premises. Also, my other grandfather, Percy Boyce, ran the post office and grocers at 633 Stratford Road, Bordesley(?). any info much appreciated

Thanks for that. WC was an orphaned farmers boy, moved to Birmingham and set up as an ironmonger in Longmore Street, sold typewriters and moved to John Bright Street now selling records and gramophones. Went on to bicycles than Jowett cars, and did well. The wedding announcement is my parents'. I had forgotten about the name of the post office. Thanks a lot.
