Warren Road Kingstanding

It's hard to believe, but this is Warren Road, dated 1928. This would have been taken just prior to the massive housing development of the area in the 1930s. I think it's looking up Warren Road (happy to be corrected). If so, the hedgerow running along the horizon couĺd be Hawthorn Road. The view was probably taken somewhere around the present day Idbury Road or close to the later Cemetery site.Screenshot_20250608_153820_Chrome.jpgScreenshot_20250608_184211_Maps.jpg

Behind the photographer and further down the road on the left, the Ohel Prayer Hall of the Jewish Cemetery (extension of Witton Cemetery) was also still to be built at the time of the photo. There must have been some prior development as there are telegraph poles in view to the top of the road. This would still have been mostly farmland.
