hi folks does anyone here remember ward electronics on bromford lane almost next to the old bromford lane police station on the same side ? I believe the guys name who run it was peter ward I also believe he was on ham radio the shop is no longer ward electronics. Anyone know when it closed and what ever happened to peter ward. cheers.
 
Ward Electronics started life in Handsworth and was a branch for Lowe
Electronics then he moved after they got rid of their branches
i remember him. we called him Aunty wainright, becouse you always come out with something different.to what you went in there for he always sold you sumat..,he was a helpful man
 
The shop started only opening once in a while then it shut altogether around 1996. about the same time SMC Alum rock closed. ... www and mobile phone killed the ham radio.
