Gutenburg has just released a new download of "War Posters Issued by Belligerent and
Neutral Nations 1914-1919" which is accessable at https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/35753 in several formats. There are a large selection of pictures, from over-jingoistic, through appealling and sad to ones like this, sent out by the underground railway to remind the soldiers of home

Good find, Mike. Thank you. There are certainly a good few posters there disigned to get acroos a message by triggering emotion. I was surprised at the number of posters featuring women. Strangely, at a time when people were often thin, ill or underfed there were a number of posters depicting very muscular men. Join the army & you too could look like this?
