Looks like Walter disappeared again (at least i've always managed to track him down on the census/censi?!)
Walter was actually a Tailor/Clothier and the ad. which mentioned Walter Parr and Co. was looking for girls who could crochet .In 1901 his "wife" was noted as a "Wholesale Wool Milliner - owner"...Guess my idea of them owning a large, traceable business has gone out the window
