Born in Wellington 21041885 he arrived from Rogerstone F.C. in May 1904. He
spurred the hapless club into greater levels of football and popularity alongside Joey Chamberlain and Vesta Tilley (a top variety hall artist of the day)! Notching 242 goals in 376
appearances 'appy arry' delighted the Villa Park faithful with outstanding presence in attack often bundling the keeper over the goalline. A fourth F.A Cup Final success and scoring both goals in the 1905 match v. Newcastle ended a glittering career with the Club. Link up soon WAK
