hi folks i need a bit of help please..can anyone make out the name of this st or road..think its a road...

many thanks for any help given...im not sure that the caption is correct so please ignore it for the min...

I'm pretty sure the sign on the building says Cowper St. According to my 1954 Bartholomew's, Cowper St ran from Summer Lane to the east and ended in a kind of t-junction, the southern branch of which was a dead end, the northern branch leading to Geach St. The map doesn't make clear if the short arm of the t-junction is Cowper or Geach St, if you see what I mean. I remember that area quite well.

The road sign does say Cowper St, so it's obviously the junction with Rodway Street.
 
I'm pretty sure it says cowper st (see below). Also, the house on that corner in the map c 1952 is next to a space, which would be the garage , or whatever, next door
