Turves Green.lying in the south/east edge of Northfield parish, Turves Green Was Green was the green area
Where good turf was got ,until it was built upon,it consisted mainly of digbeth farm,
Although one of the last nailers in Birmingham continued to ply his trade in turves Green until 1918.
The District came to Birmingham in 1911 and had become covered with houses by 1950.
