Could some kind soul look up the Turner family, i.e. John Turner to see if they were living in William Edward Street in 1913. They were living there in 1908. They moved to Barford Street afterwards but I'm afraid I don't know what year.
Any information would be grately appreciated.
Thanks, Ness

Edward John Turner and Alfred Henry Pearce are at 74 William Henry Street in 1920.
An Edward John Turner is at 245 Lodge Road in 1925.
John and Lily Turner are at 203 Barford Street in 1930 and 1935, John alone is there in 1925 and 1939

(John and Clara Hawkesworth and Elizabeth Hanson are at 203 Barford Street in 1920)

Thomas Turner at no8 William Edward Street in 1868
No other mention of Turner in William Edward Street - I checked up to 1930.

Thanks for your help. I'm confused now, why would they put 49 William Edward Street on a birth certificate when the Turner family didn't live there. Unless the baby was born there in 1909 but it wasn't their home.

In 1912 James Eccles was at 49 William Edward Street.
Perhaps in 1909 it was a midwife's house - it was not unusual for the mother-to-be to go away for her confinement.

From all the info you have kindly supplied for me, I think they lived in William Henry Street in 1909 and moved before 1912. It says that this was their address on the birth certificate. My grandparents were John Turner and Sarah Turner nee Jones, although after a long search made by me and other people we have never found a marriage.
In 1930 you found a John and Lily Turner living at 203 Barford Street, I definately think this is my grandfather with his second wife. Sarah died after 1920 when the last child was born.
I didn't know anything at all until I joined this website, thank you very much. Ness
