Trying to find James Lyons

fairenuf

Brummie babby
My father worked for Marsh and Baxter Dale End. A great big Irishman called James Lyons. I believe he lived in Aston, in lodgings at 4/106 Miller St. the landlord was Mr Moran ( pulse be spelt differently)
I have his photograph but never met him . Does anyone remember him either from work or from Aston
It’s a long shot but I live in hope
My mom was Eleanor

hi fairenuf i have alterered the thread title to add your dads surname...am i correct in thinking that your dad is still alive or are you not sure? do you have his date of birth or the years he was living in miller st? also if you could post the photograph of him it may help

Morning Astoness, thank you for your guidance. He would more than likely be deceased or well aged.
The period I believe he lived in or cohabited with my mom was 1956-1961
It was a lodging house that we all moved into in 61/63 when we were offered temporary accommodation at 2/16 Clissold Street, Hockley. James Lyons never lived in hockley with us and I have no idea where he went from there.

My birth certificate has his name and his trade as a pork butcher/labourer and my mother was Eleanor Gallett. She was multi lingual, 33-37 yrs when she was there and often travelled back and forth to Eire although she was not Irish
The address my mom gave was 6/104 Miller street, Birmingham 6 and I was born in loveday street hospital

Not all years are online but the e rolls for 1957 shows these names

By 1960 it is a totally different family.

Clissold Street did not show them either so I assume they did not register to vote.
