Thank you for the information re the Trevett family. Is there any mention of a Barbara Trevett living at 184 Grange Road as she was married from there in May 1937 to William Henry Roberts who was then living at 19 Hawkes Street Small Heath?

Did Barbara Roberts nee Trevett live at Grange Road after her marriage and for how long? Is it possible to find out this information please? Stubbs:)

Robert was listed as a ginger beer maker at 494 Garrison lane from 1899 -1903. In both 1897 and 1904 the premises were a bakers.

in 1939 at 184 grange rd. rose millicent dutton, arthur dutton, ivor benjamin howell, william roberts and barbara roberts

in 1945 at 184 grange rd. arthur and rose m dutton, ivor b howells, barbara roberts and james macfarlane

in 1950 same address arthur and rose m dutton, ivor b howells, william h and barbara roberts, agnes mc.ewan and stanley d ward

as these are from electoral rolls, only people over the age of 21 are listed

Thank you the information- not knowing the area makes it more difficult. Does Garrison Lane still exist? Stubbs

This really enlarges our knowledge. On their marriage 1937 Bill Roberts was a turner for a motor mowers company ???? and Barbara was a press hand in a laundry??? Arthur Dutton was Barbara's stepfather and a witness at the wedding. Did they appear in the next electoral roll? Stubbs

Thanks very much. The only other thing I know is that Bill Roberts was found dead on 14 Nov 1971 at 913 Warwick Road Solihull. He worked then as a hotel porter at 452 Stratford Road Birmingham 11. Does anyone know what happened to Barbara Roberts nee Trevett? There is a possible death of a Barbara Roberts in Jun 1985 but whether that is her I don't know.

i believe that the death in 1958 is definitely your barbara. it has her birth date as 16th july 1916. you had stated that the birth was 16th june 1916 on the first post but one or the other is probably slightly wrong.

Thanks once again. I hope to get Barbara's birth certificate to prove it is the correct DOB and then probably the right death. I assume that by 1955 Rose, the mother had died but why Barbara wasn't on the electoral roll then at Grange Road is a mystery.
