Hi all, this is my brick wall I've been beating myself up over. I was struggling to find parents for Maud Frances Blanche Thompson. I've purchased her wedding certificate found his name, yet cannot find any records on him. Maud was born 7 sep 1897, married in sep 1919 in Aston. I haven't a clue what to try next. Any tips or help appreciated

Do you have the birth record/certificate for Maud - if so what was the address?
Also what is the address on the marriage certificate and the fathers occupation - any details you can give may help someone on the forum find information for you.

I don't have Maud's birth certificate, it was a very popular name back then. Charles occupation was a gas meter marker lived in 16 erskine road Duddeston. Maud had a sister Gertrude. I checked the 1911 census, found a couple maud and Gertrude, but different fathers

they were married 15 years and had 5 children 4 living..1 died

Charles W Thompson age 30 b Cambridge Gas meter maker
Blanche age 24 b Huntingdon
Blanche age 3
Charles age 2 he died in 1907.

I don't know why Blanche said she was born huntingdon unless the enumerator got it wrong.

I could not find a marriage in the timescale given on the 1911 census

in 1930 there is a marriage between a Charles William Thompson and Blanche A L Smith in Birmingham North, there is a Blanche Alice Louise Smith born 1876 Aston which fits her age and then a death in 1953 Southwark,London of a Blanche Alice Louise Thompson born 1876, stranger things have happened in family trees.
