Thomas Collett - Lived at 21 Hill Street Birmingham

Hi

My 3 x great grandad Thomas Collett and his family lived at 21 Hill Street, Birmingham. This is apparent from the 1841, 51, and 61 census. He was a carver/cabinet maker by trade and I was wondering if 21 Hill Street, was a business address with private quarters for living. I've looked and can't find anything.

Any help would be appreciated.

also laura to add to pedros info above brummy lad (john) asked me to post these for you as he had to go out..looking at the 61 census it looks as though 21 hill street was his living and business address

If it is any help, in 1929 no’s 19 and 21 were opposite the Church of St Jude, and housed J Marks and Sons Ltd.
