Thomas Cecil Rogers War record WW1

Ron Rogers

master brummie
My Grandfather THomas Cecil Rogers enlisted in "The Worcestershire Regement" 19/10/15 and was discharges (being under aged) on 3/4/1916.
I believe he reinlisted in the army and served in France ,He may have been wounded or gased as he mentions that he had to go into a military hospital in a letter to my mother written 1942
How can i find out or could someone look up the records??? to find out where and when my Grandfather served in WW1

Thanks
Ron

Ron, his WW1 pension records on A******y confirms the dates you give above for his enlistment and discharge, during that time he is shown as served "at home", so he never went aboard during this 6 months service. He gave his date of birth as 22nd Sept 1897, his regimental number is given as 24891. After a quick search, I cannot find any other Thomas Rogers that may fit , but I'm sure you know that many records were destroyed
You mention a letter dated 1942 is this a typo error.

hi Colin thanks for the info Grandad was born in 1899 so he put his age up by two years . so it stands that the earliest he could have rejoined would be 1917.. Do you have access to the medal record as he might show up in them
The letter to my Mother was correct 1942 . Grandad died in 1943
Again thanks

Ron
