Those were my local shops when I lived in Putney Road. The corner shop shown (corner of Church Vale/Hutton Road) was an outdoor and I used to fetch my gran's jug of beer from there. Keith Berry's got a lovely photo of these shops from a slightly different angle. Thanks so much for posting this, I'll keep a copy if that's OK.
 
Of course it's OK Charlie - that's the whole point of me posting these kinds of things , lots more to come of the coming weeks / months.
