My parents took me to Birmingham and Aston Hippodromes but I never went to any of the others.
 
Great ads Stitcher, I have been to the Hippodrome and the Alex a few times, but think the others may have been out of use before I was old enough to go.

Hello Sue, we rarely went to this type of entertainment and I suspect it was expense rather than choice.
 
Not heard of the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre before. Wonder where it was. It says to book tickets in Paradise St, but can't remember it. Or maybe it's the Stratford theatre. Viv.
 
'Shakespeare Memorial Theatre' - Surely, as you suggest Viv, this would have been advertising the theatre at Stratford. Just a ticket agents office in Paradise Street maybe.
