Hi Pam - I used to work and drink in the Woodman in the 70's. The gaffers name in the 70's was Dick and Dolly, both of whom died in the 90's.

I will try to locate some photographs. What was the nam of your father-in-law?

I think it was Dick and Dolly Rafferty, who used to run the Coach and Horses at Bordesley Green.

hi there ,thankyou for your reply, my father inlaw started drinking in the woodman in the late 60`s is name was "Pat"(Patrick), he was very much a regular for 25years!! but was absolutly distaught at the closure and demolistion of the pub the the late 90`s, do you remeber or even heard of the barmaids Lesley and Sheila in the 80`s?, also chris in the late 70`s?, its ashame these pubs have had to go as the atmosphere in pubs these days is not the same as it used to be, these pubs have been around for many many years and hold alot of happy memories, the govenment are killing our history and wont be satisfied untill all these pubs are wiped out very sad, hope you do find some pictures would love to see them big thankyou
