Started in 68 and worked at the garage for two weeks before moving to Esso Bromford lane on permanent nights. Left Esso/Baumbers after twelve months for Shell Kingsbury. Used to call in weekly for my wages but have to be honest and say the working conditions at Esso were a little better than the garage . Eric used to cover all the Esso breakdowns so was a regular at Bromford and Tommy snr was usually in the office when I collected my wages.
