Please could anyone help with any details about a Public House at 116 Monument Road Ladywood in 1911. Does anyone know the name of the Pub?

Yes it was on the corner of monument rd and Great Tindal St.. I lived in Great Tindal Street till 1962 when it was all demolished..Hi
As far as I can make out it was the Stour Valley Inn and in 1912 the landlord was a Francis Hadley. Its looks as it was on or near to the corner of Great Tindal Street,

Hi Phil..you are right..the pub is or should I say was..the Stour Valley and it was on the corners of Monument Rd and Great Tindal St.. I was brought up in Great Tindal St.. and it was better known as The Ladywood... two stories ..one is people say a horse fell outside the pub..and second this one more likely the long time ago landlord had the surname HORSE FALLS... ❤❤Hi

A post suggests confusion with similar named road in Balsall Heath and suggested title update.
Hi there Astoness or is it Lyn... well I have only seen your post.. and believe it or not ..I lived opposite 120..(it was also called Victoria Buildings.) Our address was 2bk of 121 great Tindal St...or the posh address was 2 Brighton buildings Great Tindal St.... your 120 I know a family called Murphy lived there about 1956.. it as about 4houses down from a little factory called The Advance...on the corner was Wrensons..on the other corner was a pub called The STOUR VALLEY.. it's nickname was the horsefalls..due to a landlord was called horsefalls.. further down the street on corner of st marys st was a grocery shop called Moors. Futher on down was a chipshopand then a little shop..over the road was a off licence.. then you cross over Ledsam st..to carry on down great Tindal St to where it ended as saint Vincent st ran across it to the Left and Browning st to the right...now Browning st believe or not somewhere around 1870s it was called TINDAL ST..only Browning st was called that as then somewhere around 1900 it changed to browning.. not us though as we were always GREAT TINDAL St.... Oh dear don't I go on ..haha hope you had a good read..oh I also went to the Oratory school.. all the best..hi bush baby did you live anywhere near 120 gt tindal st?...i believe it was called victoria buildings...would love to see any photos you may have of the street
