Does anyone recall Shirley Temple chinese restaurant
on Stafford rd used to be always busy in the 70s
it was the place to impress you're date

That's Stratford Road in Shirley.
Eat there several times.
I am sure it is on the Forum - perhaps on the Stratford Road thread?

Was there another "Shirley Temple" on the Stratford Rd. near "The Saracen's Head".

It was in the block just a bit down from the Saracen's Head (same block as Woolworth). You could eat in there - I think the one at Robin Hood Island was mainly take-away. Closed down in about 2015.
