The Sherwood - Hall Green

Now trying to reinvent itself as Behan's,another boring attempt to bring a taste of Ireland to the residents of South Birmingham.

Used this place a bit in the early 80s.The friendly Irish crowd kept in going, even though it was a Courage house with lousy hoffmeister and co on tap.

A Very late reply !!
The Sherwood, actually became The Kasbah before lowering itself to Behans.
The Kasbah had a very good clientele and a novel business plan for it's time and indeed area.
Bar/Lounge at the front and in the back (Now full of Sports screens) a Indian restaurant with a open kitchen and food often prepared at your table.
Saved getting a taxi into Moseley or Hall Green on Friday nights, just walk into the back.
Always seemed busy even during the week. Never found out why it changed back to 'just another pub'
