Did anyone ever live in The Riddings,Stechford,my family the Sheppards
lived there from 1935 until the 1950`s.
I think they were flats one on top of the other i think 3 bedrooms,my
nan had 12 children,i just can`t imagin where they put them all.
Does anyone have a photo of the Riddings?

What number did they live at, my brother in laws family lived at The Riddings I will have to ask him what number they lived at. I also noticed the name Harper, my husbands mothers maiden name was Harper they were from around the Selly Oak area.

My family lived at no 28 The Riddings,My Gran Beatrice Sheppard formerly
Harper lived there.There was quite a lot of harpers lived all over the place.
If you can give me any names i will see if any of them are mine.

My brother in laws family lived at no 32 Ken Johnson, I have just spoken to him and he has given me some info, he went out with one of the daughters Rita before he met my sister.

There wasn`t a Rita the daughters were Amy ( Known as Dolly ) Sheppard
Beatrice,Alice and Hilda born in 1935.
There was a Feud between The Sheppards and the Harper family (no relation ) who lived at no 22.
Do your brother-in -laws remember it.

in the 1930`s,1940`s and 1950`s.

Thankyou otherhalf i know a lot of it as been pulled down,i was looking for
a photo of how The Riddings used to be.

I've searched literally everywhere on the internet to find any photos of The Riddings/Webbcroft before they demolished half the street but they don't seem to exist... Google street view only goes back as far as 2008 so that's also a dead end... i have found a few ariel photos of how The area looked just before The Riddings was built though, which i'll attatch. I think it is around 1930s.

There is a Shepphard family that live at number 1 The Riddings. Phil and Sue... they've lived there at least 30 years as far as i'm aware.
