The Queens Armed Services Parade

I have just watched the Armed Services Parade from Windsor and the fly past.
I was quite emotional, I have never been so proud to be British.

What a sight, the uniforms ,the precision in the marching and the dedication to duty.

The planes spelling out E11 R and 60 were remarkable,

It was quite emotional wasn't it Alberta.
My son was fascinated by it,my dad thought it was brilliant.
I hope they re-run it for those not lucky enough to have seen it this time.
It makes you feel proud to be English.

I thought that the programme was all that you both said and more. I was very moved by it. However, as regards the "E11R" formation we either have short memories or the comentators are to young. This was done in 1977 for the Queens Silver Jubilee by Buccaneer Aircraft of 809 Naval Air Squadron over the Fleet Review in the solent.
I have photographs somewhere, I will try to find them.

I missed it but wonder if I could watch it on a catch up?. Two days ago at the caravan an enormous bomber flew just above us and Pete said he thought it was going to a show somewhere?. It was orsome and I was so annoyed the camera was not at hand. Maybe it was going to this display?. Jean.
