The Pullman.

Hi,

My daughter is certain that she can remember a pub called the Pullman on Chelmsley Wood.
Probably in or around "area 10".
Now I lived in area 11 for many years and I can't remember one. Can anyone help?

There are mentions in the papers of a Pullman pub on the Chester Road, Castle Bromwich.

I remember this pub from the mid/late 90's and went often for a pre drink before heading into Bham. I don't remember it as the Pullman so that must have been before my time. I always knew it as the Chester arms. Sadly it went the same way as many pubs do now and closed. Gone now and the site has been built on.

Here is the same view today. The farmfoods seems to have weathered the storm and still stands!

It was called was The Timberley when I used to go there in 1976 / 1977. It was on on the corner of Hurst Lane / Chester Rd, Castle Bromwich.

Hi,

Many thanks for the replies. So it was the old Timberley pub. I knew it had changed to the Chester Arms,
but I didn't know it became the Pullman.

My daughter will be delighted, and my memories are now updated!
