Astonian

gone but not forgotten
Does Anybody Recall The Station Pub ,Up At Selly Oak Railway Staion ,
On The Bristol Rd ,Or Have I Got It Wrong Because I Pased There The Other Day And I Thought To Myself That Used To Be The Old Station Pub In Time Gone Bye ,And Its Called The Pear Tree ,It Looks Like A Students Den ,
To Me On Passing Painted In A Terrible Yellow And I Thought Whats Next
When The Old B,ham Battery CompanyWas Active It Across The Road
It Done A Roaring Trade Day And Night I Wonder What Old Smokie Joe Would Have Thought :D

I recall it as The Station right up to the mid 80s thats the last time I ventured in there , Always got a good drop of Mild in there .
RAGGA :)

HI AND THANKS RAGGA
Many Thanks Ragga For Confirmin The Pub As The Station , Just AsI Thought It Was ,
Yes Indeed It Did Have A Reputation For Keeping A Good Pint Of Mild '
I Have Got An Old Friend Of Mine In Fact He,s A Neibour Of Mine, And I Asked Him As Well For His Opinion Whether Or Not It Was The Station And He Said Yes , The Reason Why I Asked My Friend Graham Is Because He Kept The Pub Down The Road From There The Weoly Castle Pub For Years Before Retireing From The Game ,
Once AGAIN Ragga Best Wishes ASTONIAN ,;;
