The Kings Arms, Harborne.

The Kings Arms was renamed The Huntsman some years ago. Original building was burned down in about 2013 I think. Was it rebuilt? See also thread on The Huntsman.

NB: just looked on Google - flats built on site, not sure when.

Hi - I am Geoffrey's cousin - remember Aunty Eileen? well I am her daughter Janet and I live in South Australia. Barbara is here too. I remember when we were kids my mum used to take us to Aunty Connies for the day every week. The only transport there then was the Midland Red and then we used to have to walk along a lane called "The Ash Path" I dont know why it was called that. All us kids used to play in the back garden (we had a yard - Aunty Connie had a garden) the only trouble was they only wanted to play football which was not up my alley at all. It was lovely to go out to Shirley to visit Aunty Connie - it was just like a day out in the Country! I told Barbara that you had contacted us and she was very happy to hear from you. We used to have a special spot for Aunty Connie - I think it was because she and my mom were so close - but the whole family was really. The connection with pubs is quite strong - our great grandfather on the Turner side (father of Grandad Turner who used to live with Aunty Glad) He used to run the Belgrave Hotel - you can see it on the Pubs thread. My email is jardenewhitesuffolks@gmail.com - look forward to hearing from you.

Really interested in the history of this pub and if there were ever any deaths in the premise. We have heard it is haunted by Harry? My daughter lives in one of the flats and has had a visit... any info most welcome
