The albion pub aston ;

Astonian

gone but not forgotten
hi pub crawlers
i do not know whether or not it as been mentioned before now
or whether some-one as mentioned it
but this evening i came up the lichfield rd from tyburn rd and i passed this britania pub they tell me its a eating house but surely not i thought the pub would be lit up and stand out on its exterior but sadly not and it looked isolated
and i wondered where are the customers coming from also the mitre
looked in darkness not a soul or light on around
asi ventured futher up the lichfield trying to establish where my childhood
house was and working out the old lengh o ansells property was which
did come back as upper thomas st and mattys radio shop
i passed the old albion pub and i seen the old sign up, to let
so i surpose that will fall into the old trap as a eating house
incidently oreileys on the cross formerly the golden cross looked like darkness where is there trade coming from ,
there was not one single person to be seen from one end of lichfield rd right up to the city and years ago it was bussing with life
best wishes every body , Astonian ;;;
