Anyone remember Tammy, have just been reading a review of a new book about the Queen of Country
as she was called. Her biggest hit was "Stand by your Man", which one ?she five husbands, and four
children. Her last one was a "bad un", he apparently forced her work when she was fatally ill and full of
drugs, reduced to the state of a zombie Tammy died aged 55 in 1998. Quite a few of these C+W stars
seem to go down the same road, very sad, Might be worth a read,it is published bySimon and Schuster
at £18.99. cheers Bernard
